The Sitcom Weekend…
started Saturday afternoon. After a somewhat late start (around 3pm) me, Josh, and Kristin (my badass roommates) decided to head to the top of Twin Peaks. Twin peaks, according to good ol’pedia, is situated in the geographic center of San Francisco, CA. Due to its position in relation to my area Noe Valley/Mission, a lot of the fog from the Pacific is blocked, keeping the southern part of downtown San Francisco fairly sunny and warm. It’s pretty tough getting to the top of Twin Peaks without a car, fortunately my Midwestern buddies came prepared.
The view from the top of Twin Peaks was amazing. You can easily see the fog as it rolls over either side of the hills masking the areas north and south of Noe Valley/Mission with perpetual fog. Take a look for yourself…
The large street leading towards the taller buildings in the distance is Market St. much of the bustle in San Francisco is bustling around that main artery of the city. My office is in the SoMa (south of Market) area - in case you cared.
After an hour or so atop the windy hills we headed due north to Alamo square.
Shi-be-doo bap-badaaaa…
A spot in San Francisco made famous by Bob Saget, Dave Coulier, John Stamos, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron, and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen. Alamo square is the park being filmed during the ending part of the beginning credits of Full House as in here in Exhibit A:
Now here’s my rendition:
Personally, I think mine’s better. For the cherry on top of that day we decided to go to … Da-da-da dat dat daaaaa…
It’s not a taqueria but definitely hit the spot.
Now for those that didn’t understand the ‘Sitcom Weekend’: there was Full House, of course, and also ‘Twin Peaks‘. Though the hills don’t directly reference the sitcom.. err.. drama series they share the namesake.. so yeah.
That is all.

Dude, it looks like you’re really enjoying the San Fran life. I know you won’t be able to keep up the blog your entire life, but it’s definitely good times reading about all the cool stuff you’re up to. On a related note, keep going with the taquerias! Fish tacos are the shit, man…and when I saw that picture of In-n-Out, I started drooling. Damn you, you’re delicious authentic Mexican restaurants, and wide variety of money fast food joints!
All’s well here, but we immediately miss you Win!
